Goa state has covered an area of 3,702 square kilometres. Goa occupies only 0.11% portion of the total land area of the India. It is located on the west coast of Arabian sea. If we talk about population of Goa then it stands in the fourth position in Indian states. Panaji is the capital of Goa and Vasco da Gama is the largest city of Goa.

Tourism is the main attraction of this state. The main appeals of Goa are the flora, fauna, beaches, indo-western culture of Goa,  churches, World Heritage-listed architecture.

Boundaries of Goa

Goa is surrounded by Karnataka and Maharashtra. Terekhol river separates it from Maharashtra in North, Karnataka State in the East and South and Arabian Sea is in the West. The Goa lies on the Indian Western Coast and is around 594 Km away from Mumbai city (by road).

As per state census 2011 the Sikkim is the smallest state in India as per population with a population of 6,07,688. Sikkim is the least populous state among all Indian states. Sikkim is the part of the Eastern Himalaya and is known for its biodiversity, which includes alpine and subtropical climates.

Kangchenjunga, the India’s highest mountain and world’s third-highest peak is located in Sikkim. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim state and also the largest city of the state. UNESCO World Heritage Site the Khangchendzonga National Park, covers around 35% area of the state.

In north and northeast Sikkim shares its borders with China, Nepal in the west, Bhutan in the east, and West Bengal in the south. The most famous and UNESCO World Heritage Site the Khangchendzonga National Park covers almost 35% area of the state.

Economy of Sikkim

Agriculture and tourism are the major contributors in the economy of Sikkim. The state has the third-smallest GDP among Indian states as per data of 2014. The clean city, snow-covered mountains, valleys, rivers and flower garden are some tourist places which also contributes to the economy for the state.
