What is the Full form of NDRF?

NDRF full form is the National Disaster Response Force. Think of it as a special team ready to spring into action when disasters, whether caused by nature like earthquakes and floods or by humans, occur. This force was established by the Disaster Management Act in 2005.

Currently, NDRF has 12 active battalions, and each battalion is like a mini army with 1149 members. These battalions are spread across different parts of India, ready to help whenever needed. Members of the NDRF are not just any regular people; they are specially trained to handle crises. They have teams made up of engineers, technicians, electricians, and even medical experts to ensure they can tackle various challenges during a disaster.
