What is the full form of CISF?
CISF full form is the Central Industrial Security Force. It’s a major force in India responsible for safeguarding important industries and facilities. They operate under the guidance of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government department overseeing internal security. Think of them as the guardians of key Indian industries! Their main office is in New Delhi, and they are one of the biggest forces of their kind worldwide, with a team of around 170,000 people across 132 units.

- CISF came into being in 1969, thanks to an Indian Parliament Act.
- Their main job? Ensuring places like nuclear power stations, places where money notes are made, and energy-producing sites stay safe.
