The Evaluation Approach and its profound influence can be felt in the following areas of education –

- It concentrates on higher levels of behaviour such as application, analysis, synthesis, attitudes, skills, opinions, etc.
- It is a continuous process so ensures regular study habits and wide range of study to cover entire syllabus.
Teaching
- Limiting use of traditional lecture method and instead using a variety of methodologies. Eg. Learning by doing, collaborative learning, excursions, discussions, etc.
- Better planning and preparation on part of teachers.
- Techniques such as Diagnostic and Remedial teaching to improve students’ performances.
Syllabus
- Recasting of syllabus.
- Clear mention of objectives and scope at the start.
- Retention of only topics which fulfil such objectives.
Text-Books
- Better design and format.
- More filled with activities.
- Rests on an instructional objective-based approach.
Testing
- Shifting from only written examinations to other various techniques.
- Emphasis on objective assessment.
- Interpretation of results in a more valid and reliable way.
