What is the full form of CGPA?
The full form of CGPA is Cumulative Grade Point Average. It’s a way schools and colleges use to measure how well a student is doing in their classes. Instead of giving scores like 90% or 85%, they give grades like A, B, C, D, or F. The CGPA is an average of these grades. In India, each grade is linked to a percentage, but this can change depending on which country you’re in.
How to change CGPA into Percentage?
Here’s a simple way to do it:
- Multiply the grade point of a subject by 9.5 to get the percentage for that subject.
- Multiply the overall CGPA by 9.5 to get the total percentage.
Example
Let’s say a student has a CGPA of 7.9. To find out what this is in percentage: Multiply 7.9 by 9.5, which equals 75.05%. So, 7.9 CGPA is the same as 75.05%.
Remember, the way CGPA is calculated can change depending on the university or the course you’re studying.
