Moral story : A Crow and A Peacock

Once upon a time, in a dense and vibrant forest, there lived a crow and a peacock. They were very different in appearance, but their hearts held similar dreams and desires.

The peacock was a magnificent creature, known far and wide for its vibrant and enchanting plumage. Its feathers were an array of dazzling colors that sparkled in the sunlight. The peacock was quite proud of its beauty and often boasted about its splendid appearance.

On the other hand, the crow was not as striking as the peacock. Its feathers were dull and black, lacking the vibrant colors that adorned the peacock’s plumage. The crow watched the peacock’s displays of beauty and felt a deep sense of inadequacy.

One sunny morning, the crow decided to approach the peacock and share its feelings. It said, “Dear Peacock, your beauty is truly extraordinary, and I cannot help but admire it. However, I often feel sad that I don’t have such dazzling feathers. It seems like I am destined to be plain and ordinary.”

The peacock, instead of gloating, looked at the crow with kindness and said, “Dear Crow, I appreciate your kind words. But remember, beauty is not the only thing that defines us. Each of us has our unique qualities and strengths. While my feathers are indeed stunning, you have your own special abilities.”

The crow was surprised by the peacock’s response and asked, “What special abilities do I possess that you find valuable?”

The peacock smiled and replied, “You, dear Crow, have a voice that is both beautiful and melodious. You can sing and fill the forest with your enchanting songs. I may have beautiful feathers, but I cannot produce such lovely melodies.”

The crow was taken aback by the peacock’s words and realized the truth in them. It understood that it had been so preoccupied with the peacock’s appearance that it had overlooked its own remarkable talent.

From that day on, the crow embraced its gift of song and sang with all its heart. Its melodious tunes resonated through the forest, bringing joy and happiness to all the creatures who heard it. The crow found its own sense of self-worth and happiness through its unique talent.

The moral of the story is that each of us is special in our own way. Comparing ourselves to others can make us feel inadequate and unhappy. It’s essential to recognize and celebrate our unique qualities and talents, for they are the things that truly make us shine.

Like the crow, we should focus on what we do best and find contentment in being ourselves, rather than trying to be someone we’re not.
